Eisteddfod Code of conduct
Here are the code of conduct to help things run smoothly on dance group day and throughout our dance solo’s week. These guidelines have been created to help make it enjoyable for all, and we ask that everyone consider the following points.
If you have an issue or a question, please enquire at the clerk’s desk we are more than happy to be of assistance.
- No entry is permitted into the hall whilst the music is playing.
- Please have entry payment ready when in line to assist with prompt payment as you enter to help the queue keep moving.
- No prams inside the hall on group day.
- Please nurse children under 5 to assist with more seating for adults on group day.
- It is preferred audience members be seated to watch performances if there are vacant chairs. This is to limit the amount of people standing, to optimise viewing for all and to prevent distractions for performers.
- No standing in walkways or in front of clerk’s desk.
- No movement is permitted within the hall when performers are on stage. Please show the performers the respect they deserve and assist them in giving their best performance by not distracting them.
- Movement is permitted in the hall between songs/performances.
- Please respect our volunteers and members of the community at our event. No disrespectful behaviour especially threats or swearing will be tolerated. Breaches will lead to being asked to leave the venue and associated dance schools or dancers may be disqualified.
- Please put rubbish in the bins provided. If they are full, please notify the clerk’s desk to be relined.
- If toilets need attention, please notify clerk’s desk.
- Please take care with hot food and beverages. Advise of any spillages or mess that needs attention to the clerk’s desk.
- When improvisations are in progress, there will be no access to downstairs change rooms.
